What is MapR-DB?
MapR-DB is an enterprise-grade, high performance NoSQL ("not only SQL") database management system, built into the MapR Converged Data Platform (MCDP). It is used to add real-time, operational analytics capabilities to Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark.

Our MapR-DB Experts


Aditya Kishore


Aditya is a software engineer at MapR Technologies, where he works on Apache HBase, MapR-DB, Hadoop security, and Apache Drill. He has over nine years of experience in product development, with expertise in multiple programming languages, such as Java, C/C++, and scripting languages. Aditya holds a Master of Computer Applications degree from the National Institute of Technology in Trichy, India, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Applications from St. Xavier’s College in Ranchi, India.

Anurag Choudhary


Anurag has over 15 years of experience in designing, developing, and releasing enterprise class
software. These include databases, filesystems, and other distributed systems. Prior to MapR, he worked in data storage companies, Veritas software (now Symantec) and Microsoft. He holds a Master's degree in computer science from Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur, India. Apart from work, he enjoys playing chess and table tennis.
