Why create an event?

The events on the Meetups and Events are accessible to all visitors and members of the Community. By having access to promote to our community, we hope to help your upcoming events be successful and provide our visitors with a single hub to find the latest events.

Creating your first event

In order to create and event and have it published accross our community we have developed a step by step process for you to follow:

  1. Open (in another tab) Your Event's Name (TEMPLATE FOR NEW EVENTS)
  2. Click on the "Create a Copy" link under the "Actions" menu, as shown in the image below:

     4.    Modify your event by replacing the placeholder text and adding other elements such as images, links and any html code you want to make the template reflect your event. Delete the top section of the document which includes instructions for use before saving.

     5.    IMPORTANT: Before you publish the event, make sure that the tag "feed-event" and category "Promoted Meetups and Events" are selected as shown below as these make your event automatically appear in all displayable event-lists across the community.
