What is the MapR Account?

MapR Account is a single sign-on system that allows access to MapR Community and MapR Academy with one account. MapR Partners can also request access to private portals by creating a MapR Account.

 

How do I create a MapR Account?

  1. Go to http://account.mapr.com/community.
  2. Enter this email address: (use your corporate e-mail if you are an enterprise edition customer).
  3. Check your email for a validation message.
  4. Click on the validation link.
  5. Create a new password.
  6. Fill out the account profile fields.
  7. Click the Submit button.

How do I know if I already have a MapR Account?

Go to https://account.mapr.com/community and type in your email address.They system will tell you if you have an account connected to that email address.

 

How will my account information be used?

MapR will not use your MapR Account e-mail address for marketing purposes nor will it be shared with any third party. Based on your profile settings and relationship with MapR (customer, partner, student), you will receive e-mail communications related to the MapR Community, Customer Support, MapR Partners and/or MapR Academy.

 

Marketing communications from MapR are separate from MapR Account communications. Click here to manage your marketing email preferences.

 

What account information will be shared in the MapR community?

After creating a MapR Account, you can join the MapR Community in order to participate in discussions, like content and more. The default settings for profile fields are listed below.

Control the privacy settings for your profile by going to the upper-right corner of the screen and selecting the arrow to the right of your avatar image and then selecting Edit Profile.
