Abstract

Apache Drill provides a familiar ANSI SQL interface to explore big data on your own without having to create any centralized schema. As a consequence, exploring big data and building business intelligence dashboards becomes extremely easy for users accessing data in Hadoop.

This session will walk through two separate business scenarios where users can witness how Drill integrates with popular BI tools such as Tableau and MicroStrategy. The speaker will show you how to easily set up standard ODBC connectivity for Drill and then build on simulated real-life situations providing a step by step approach to gleaning insights from newer data sets and NoSQL data on the fly.
