5.2.0

Bug 11349

Description- Hoststats failed to work on POSIX edge node.

Resolution - With this fix, hoststats work correctly on POSIX client edge nodes as well on display statistics on MCS.

Bug 14105

Description - When nodes attempt to register with duplicate IDs, the CLDB does not register the nodes or log meaningful error messages.

Resolution - With this fix, when nodes attempt to register with duplicate IDs, the CLDB will log appropriate error messages.

Bug 24408

Description - Producers may stall when running multiple producers as separate threads within a process, with a small buffer.memory value (i.e.,1kb).

Resolution - With this fix, the default value for minimum buffer memory is increased to 10kb.

Bug 24477

Description - Jobs fail if a local volume is not available and directories for mapreduce are not initialized.

Resolution - With this fix, jobs no longer fail and local volume recovery has been enhanced.

Bug 24505

Description - Jobs fail when the JvmManager goes into an inconsistent state.

Resolution - With this fix, jobs no longer fail as a result of the JvmManager entering an inconsistent state.

Bug 24566

Description - An older version of the aws-sdk jar built with MapR.

Resolution - With this fix, MapR upgrades the aws-sdk jar from version 1.7.4 to 1.7.15 .

Bug 24630

Description - Under certain conditions, the use of the 'ls' command with --full-time option, produces incorrect timestamp results (i.e., displayed as a negative number).

Resolution - With this fix, the correct timestamp is displayed.

Bug 24647

Description - Removing stale host ID results in CLDB crash and failed over on nodes with multiple host IDs,

Resolution - With this fix, the CLDB will no longer crash when a stale host ID is removed.

Bug 24651

Description - CLDB throws exception and fails over when the snapshots list is iterated over during snapshot creation.

Resolution - With this fix, the CLDB will no longer fail over when the snapshots list is iterated over during snapshot creation.

Bug 24658

Description - NFS server unable to handle condition where CLDB returns “no master” and empty node list for container lookup.

Resolution - With this fix, The NFS server will handle empty node list for container lookup.

Bug 24660

Description - MFS crashes when the maximum number of slots of backgrounded delete operations is not adequate.

Resolution - With this fix, the number of slots for background operations has been increased.

Bug 24700

Description - The JobTracker user interface fails with a NullPointerException when a Hive job is submitted with a null value in a method.

Resolution - With this fix, the JobTracker interface has been enhanced to handle a null value in a method.

Bug 24712

Description - During container re-synchronization, the same scratch space was reused by internal parallel operations resulting in corruption.

Resolution - With this fix, internal parallel operations will use separate scratch spaces.

Bug 24563

Description – When a data stream has no data or no first byte, the Resource Manager fails to load or recover.

Resolution - With this fix, the Resource Manager has been enhanced to handle this scenario.

Bug 24566

Description - An older version of the aws-sdk jar built with MapR.

Resolution - With this fix, MapR upgrades the aws-sdk jar from version 1.7.4 to 1.7.15 .

Description - After applying mapr-patch 5.2 build 39544, the file time stamp displayed nano seconds as negative numbers.

Resolution - With this fix, if the nanosecond timestamp overflows due to an old NFS bug, the nanoseconds value will be set to 9999.

Bug 24658

Description - NFS server unable to handle condition where CLDB returns “no master” and empty node list for container lookup.

Resolution - With this fix, The NFS server will handle empty node list for container lookup.

Resolution - With this fix, jobs no longer fail as a result of the JvmManager entering an inconsistent state.

Bug 24562

Description - CLDB (container location database) performance suffers due to Warden's allocation of the CLDB service as lower CPU priority.

Resolution - With this fix, Warden uses a new algorithm to set the correct CPU priority for the CLDB service.

Bug 24656

Description – The presence of debug code in the build causes MFS to churn CPU during snapshot.

Resolution - With this fix, the debug code has been disabled.
