The Converge Community is Six Months Old!

6-birthday.pngSix months ago, we launched the
Converge Community in order to provide a seamless way for Hadoop and Spark developers, data analysts, and administrators to engage in technical discussions and share expertise that furthers the advancement of the big data community as a whole. Our goal was to create a community that would unify our On-Demand Training learning environment with the technical expertise and rich interaction found in the open source ecosystem. We’re happy to report that we’ve achieved that and more!

At this 6-month milestone, the Converge Community is bursting with over 4,000 registered community members who are connecting, interacting, and learning from each other. Congratulations goes to Converge Community member John Omernik, the #1 pointholder who has racked up nearly 32,000 points and achieved “Guru” status. Thank you for all your contributions John!

In the short 6-month history of the community, members have asked over 700 questions and posted over 1,500 pieces of new content. Here’s a quick look at the top five pieces of content and questions:
